The renewal plan builds upon other work and study efforts focused on this area of Brookings. They include a 1990 urban renewal plan (not adopted), a 1999 ODDA Resource Team Report, a July 2000 local Town Center revitalization study effort (The PROUD Study), and a 2002 Downtown Master Plan by the Urban Design Studio.
