    GIS incorporation of structure-from-motion (SfM) models utilizing disaster response related imagery

    This project examined the speed at which a UAV/drone and other systems carrying cameras can be used to capture data that can then be used to render accurate 3D models and representations of landscapes impacted by a disaster. In this examination, imagery of the 2014 Oso, Washington landslide was captured on site in a 30-minute period. Using Structure-from-Motion technology, the slide was converted into a spatially tagged 3D object that was imported into a GIS system and displayed as 3D model in systems such as Google Earth.
