Abstract

The purposes of this assessment are to: inform local government staff, elected officials and interested citizens about the current condition of key aquatic and riparian indicators relative to historic conditions; assist MECT agencies with preparation of an action plan for habitat conservation, enhancement, and restoration planning for aquatic and riparian resources, and fishes listed under the federal Endangered Species Act; provide preliminary site-specific recommendations for protection, restoration, and enhancement of habitat; [and] identify key gaps in information and monitoring related to these resources.
