Abstract
The conspicuous plants of the Owyhee region
are big sagebrush, cheat grass, and shadscale.
Rabbitbrush grows in moist places, and
juniper and mountain mahogany grow at
higher elevations. The dominant form is sagebrush,
the plant by which the habitat is known
-- the high sage desert.
