This paper is probably the first academic attempt to define the problem of the uninsured motorist in Oregon. It represents a piece of research in an area where little has been done to determine the scope and depth of the problem. The size of the problem is shown by the number of uninsured motorists involved in accidents, and the amount of damages incurred by individuals that become involved with uninsured motorists.en_US
