| dc.description.abstract | The planned Oregon Convention Center expansion will add approximately 100,000 to 150,000 room nights over the course of the next decade. With continued economic growth and OCC expansion, hotel occupancy rates will climb back above the 70 percent range by mid-decade. A convention hotel in the Lloyd District should be considered after the average annual occupancy rate has climbed back into the low- to mid-70 percent range, and that is not expected until a couple years after completion of the OCC expansion.
