The Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming the passenger experience and operational efficiencies at commercial service airports. Strategies and tactics employed to implement IoT infrastructure have direct impacts on successful decision-making processes and risk mitigation, especially at small hub airports. This paper identifies best practices in IoT in the aviation industry over the past five years. Airport executives and IT managers can benefit from this work to create business value within their organization.en_US
