The Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD or the District) is the public transportation provider for residents of southern Oregon’s Rogue Valley. The RVTD partnered with the University of Oregon’s Community Planning Workshop (CPW) to conduct an initial public engagement process centered on the potential for high capacity transit along the Highway 99 corridor from Central Point to Ashland. This report presents the results of research and public engagement activities related to scoping community attitudes, opportunities and issues related to transit enhancements, including a potential bus rapid transit (BRT) in the Highway 99 corridor. It describes the project approach, outlines specific tasks, and provides some preliminary high-level findings learned from the community engagement process.en_US
