| dc.description.abstract | The common thread that connects the policies of this Plan is simply to see to it that the livability of Wood Village as a desirable residential area is maintained and enhanced by increasing the internal focus of the community. The livability of any city is determined less by its buildings than by its streets and public spaces; the living room of the city. By providing local shopping and employment opportunities, mixed housing types, and public open space scaled to the community, Wood Village can become more internally focused, and its sense of individuality enhanced.
