This study examines the proposition that sustainable business practices can decrease the use of energy for office equipment and have a positive impact on profitability, productivity and performance (Hitchock and Willard, 2006). Literature published between 1992 and 2008 are analyzed. Industry terminology is presented, along with recommended sustainable business practices for management of selected equipment. Management systems incorporating sustainable concepts include Smart Management System Automation, data center design techniques and energy efficient office equipment applications.en
