Abstract
This presentation provides a brief introduction to three important activities in the management of historical sound recordings in archives: collection inventory, preservation assessment, and prioritization for preservation. These activities put an archives in the best position to plan preservation and access projects, discuss projects with collaborators and service providers, and apply for preservation funding.
