Abstract
The base zone design standards are a set of standards that will be added to the
Zoning Code as base zone development standards for houses, manufactured
homes, duplexes and attached houses in all zones that allow residential uses.
These standards will ensure that there is a physical and visual connection
between the living area of homes and the street or "public realm." For this
project, public realm has been defined as "the public right-of-way (streets,
sidewalks, and planting strips) and adjacent private property that can be seen
from the public right-of-way." [From the document]
