Abstract:
The goal of this master’s research capstone is to investigate the role of the museum within
the creative economy. Specifically, a correlation is made between how museums manage
their creative capital and how this process contributes to the creative economy. A synthesis
between human resource management and resource development, this paper specifically
focuses on creative capital in a museum’s development department. Ultimately, the paper
connects these concepts of creative capital management to the greater idea of the creative
economy and how museum’s do/can contribute.
