Title: Some Personal Thoughts About Research on Using Games in Education
Author: Moursund, David G.
Abstract: There is a huge amount of literature available on the Web about the topic of games in education. However, most of it is testimonial, rather than solid research. As I was writing my book, I spent a lot of time reading and browsing the available literature, paying special attention to the research. I talked to a large number of teachers and other people who are interested in the field. In addition, I drew upon my many years of experience in the field of education. However, I did not conduct any empirical research in the field of games in education. Thus, this book is based on an analysis and synthesis of research and practitioner knowledge.
