Abstract:
The City of Garibaldi, in conjunction with the Oregon Department of Transportation
(ODOT), initiated a study of the city’s transportation system in 2002. The 2003 Garibaldi
Transportation System Plan (TSP) addresses ways to improve the transportation system to
serve existing needs and to support anticipated growth in population and traffic during the
next 20 years. The TSP considers future traffic volumes and circulation patterns in a way
that emphasizes the local street network and protects the function of U.S. 101, a statewide
highway that also serves as Garibaldi’s main street. [From the Plan]
