Abstract

The goal of the Willamette Greenway Plan is to protect, conserve, maintain, and enhance the scenic, natural, historical, economic, and recreational qualities of lands along the Willamette River. The Plan addresses the quality of the natural and human environment along the river. The Willamette River and the lands adjacent to it are a unique and valuable natural resource, which require special protection. The Plan is part of Portland’s Comprehensive Plan. [From the Plan]
