Abstract

The vision for the Ash Creek Trail Master Plan is two-fold: (1) to create open space and restoration opportunities and create a trail that (2) offers all community residents and visitors a non-motorized travel alternative between Independence and Monmouth. The proposed Ash Creek Trail will travel roughly parallel to Ash Creek and provide spur trails to locations outside the greenway, protecting and enhancing the biological, cultural, and historic resources of the corridor.
