This plan was developed with and for the following jurisdictions: Coos County and the cities of Bandon, Coos Bay, Coquille, Lakeside, Myrtle Point, North Bend, and Powers. These are the same jurisdictions that were represented in the 2005 Coos County Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan. It is impossible to predict exactly when natural hazards will occur, or the extent to which they will affect the community. However, with careful planning and collaboration among public agencies, private sector organizations, and citizens within the community, it is possible to minimize the losses that can result from natural hazards. Natural hazard mitigation is defined as a method of permanently reducing or alleviating the losses of life, property, and injuries resulting from natural hazards through long and short-term strategies. Example strategies include policy changes, such as updated ordinances, projects, such as seismic retrofits to critical facilities; and education and outreach to targeted audiences, such as Spanish speaking residents or the elderly. Natural hazard mitigation is the responsibility of individuals, private businesses and industries, state and local governments, and the federal government.Item Open Access Bandon Notice of Adopted Amendment (2009-12-29)(Bandon, 2009-12-29) Bandon (Or.)Item Open Access Bandon Notice of Adopted Amendment (2009-08-10)(Bandon, 2009-08-10) Bandon (Or.)An ordinance amending Bandon Municipal Code Chap :er 16.42 Definitions and Chapter 17 Zoning.Item Open Access Bandon Notice of Adopted Amendment (2009-08-10)(Bandon, 2009-08-10) Bandon (Or.)This Ordinance Adopts the 2009 FIRM Maps and Flood Insurance Study and revises the current Chapter 15.28 Flood Insurance, of the Bandon Municipal Code to reflect the amendments required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. ;Item Open Access Bandon Notice of Adopted Amendment (2009-03-09)(Bandon, 2009-03-09) Bandon (Or.)Item Open Access Bandon Notice of Adopted Amendment (2009-03-04)(Bandon, 2009-03-04) Bandon (Or.)Item Open Access Bandon Notice of Adopted Amendment (2009-02-09)(Bandon, 2009-02-09) Bandon (Or.)Inclusion of adopted Parks Master Plan into the Comprehensive Plan.Item Open Access Bandon Notice of Adopted Amendment (2007-11-01)(Bandon, 2007-11-01) Bandon (Or.)An ordinance which regulates commercial designs standards in the City limits.Item Open Access Bandon Notice of Adopted Amendment (2006-09-08)(Bandon, 2006-09-08) Bandon (Or.)Swaped 2.5 acres of Natural Resource zoned land for 2.5 acres of CD-1 land.Item Open Access Bandon : Development code(City of Bandon (Or.), 2006-01) Bandon (Or.)Development codes are ordinances implementing a local government’s comprehensive plan.
