The plan goals describe the overall direction that Gilliam County agencies,
organizations, and citizens can take toward mitigating risk from natural hazards.
These goals were established by the Gilliam County Hazard Mitigation Steering
Committee and Stakeholders, and were approved by the Cities and County
Government. They are regional goals shared by Gilliam, Sherman, and Wheeler
Counties:
ability to respond effectively and swiftly;
safety of life and property;
