The Applegate Fire Plan is a collaborative effort, hatched from an idea that was developed jointly by local citizens and federal agency folks in the Spring of 2001. Due to wide-spread participation throughout the Applegate Valley, general project coordination was organized by the Applegate Partnership, a non-profit communitybased group founded in 1992. The Jackson County Comprehensive Plan is the official long-range land use policy document for Jackson County. The plan sets forth general land use planning policies and allocates land uses into resource, residential, commercial and industrial categories. The plan serves as the basis for the coordinated deelopment of physical resources, and the development or redevelopment of the county based on physical, social, economic and environmental factors .... The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Jackson County have determined that the Interstate 5 (I-5) interchange with Oregon Route (OR) 99 and Blackwell Road in Jackson County, Oregon, is in need of modifications and improvements to allow the interchange to function more safely and efficiently. The Interchange 35 (Seven Oaks) improvement project will consist of actions to modify and improve the existing modified standard diamond interchange. [From the Plan]

The Jackson County Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan includes resources and information that will assist county residents, public and private sector organizations and other interested people in participating in natural hazard mitigation activities. The Plan is organized around seven goals. Each goal includes a set of actions the County can take or coordinate to mitigate risk from natural hazards. The key activities are summarized in a five-year action plan. The Five-Year Action Plan Matrix lists the activities that will assist Jackson County in reducing risk and preventing loss from future natural hazard events. The action items address multi-hazard issues, as well as activities for flood, landslide, severe winter storm, windstorm, wildfire, earthquake and volcanic eruption hazards. [From the Plan]

The White City Transportation System Plan (TSP) was initiated in 2000 by Jackson County, in partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The process was undertaken in anticipation of future incorporation of White City, and in conjunction with a parallel process for the County’s TSP. The White City TSP will guide the management and development of appropriate transportation facilities within White City.
