dc.description.abstract | The St. Johns/Lombard Plan is designed to set the framework for creating a more complete and vibrant St. Johns town center and North Lombard main street area over the next 20 years. The plan focuses on land use and transportation issues, and was initiated in the fall of 2001 as a cooperative effort supported by the community and the City of Portland. The plan responds to community aspirations, as well as public policy directives. The community desires a more livable and economically viable town center and main street, with a broader spectrum of neighborhood serving uses. City and regional goals call for creating a sustainable and complete community where change, growth, and development are expected to occur, while maintaining livability. [From the Plan] | en |
