| dc.description.abstract | Latin American social studies, while attempting to explain or describe socio-economic change and processes for an entire continent, presently suffer from either over-generalization or case studies with little or unknown general significance. This study concerns Latin American urbanization, with major focus on the life of the urban poor. It is a descriptive study of a lower class barrio (neighborhood) of Cali, Colombia, and is concerned with the latter stages of a migrant's adjustment to the city. | en_US |
