Abstract
This paper suggests a product that is digital and has an emphasis on visual
learning to address the issue of American students not understanding their globalized
world. The fact that geography is not prioritized in the U.S. education system is a
contributing issue. The Department of Education's policies have hindered the efforts
made by agencies and individuals to incorporate the education of geographic sciences in
schools. The generations in school today, and for those who will follow, have a
different learning personality than has never been seen before. It is one that reflects a
childhood development aided by technology. The proposed product uses experience
design techniques to create an eBook for these students and promote their understanding
of the contemporary world.
