Abstract

The basis for creating a Creswell Interstate 5 Interchange Refinement Plan stems from the need and requirement to prepare a Creswell Transportation System Plan (TSP). Officials from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Lane Council of Governments (LCOG), and the City of Creswell recognized the necessity for a more detailed study of the interchange during the course of the TSP. In addition, there is a large amount of vacant commercial land east of the interchange that eventually will be developed. The current interchange design no longer meets federal or state design requirements. [From the Plan]
