The Bureau of Planning (BOP) prepared the document under an interagency agreement with the Portland Office of Transportation (PDOT), which has undertaken the project in the Hawthorne Boulevard area of southeast Portland. This Historic Context is one of the documentation materials submitted to the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) in fulfillment of federal Section 106 requirements for the PDOT project.
