The purpose of this thesis is to examine the Airbus A380 and factors that lead to its success and eventual decline. The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest passenger airplane and has been a favorite for years. However, Airbus announced that it will be shutting down production of the airplane in 2021. This project will investigate what led Airbus to make this decision. This project looks in-depth at the business and management strategies associated with all aspects of the A380. Furthermore, the project closely examines the successful business practices of Emirates, the largest airline operator of the A380. Through various research methods, this project explores the combination of success and failures associated with the Airbus A380 as well as recommendations the future of the airline.en_US
