Zusammenfassung

Pleasant Valley is an area that was added to the region’s urban growth boundary in 1998 to accommodate forecasted population growth in the region. Pleasant Valley is planned as a new, urban community. It is 1,532 acres located south and east of the current city limits for Gresham and Portland. The City of Portland has been working with its regional partners and the community since 1998 to create a plan for the future urbanization of this rural area. This extensive planning process has created a vision and a plan for the transition of a rural community of 800 residents into an urban community of approximately 12,000 residents and 5,000 jobs. This document proposes to implement the community vision through amendments to Portland’s Comprehensive Plan and Title 33, Planning and Zoning. [From the Plan]
