The Introduction chapter consists of a general description of the watershed and watershed analysis. The Characterization chapter summarizes the current conditions of important resources in the watershed such as soils, water, wildlife, recreation, fisheries, and vegetation. The Key Issues and Questions chapter highlights the important values, resources or concerns in the watershed. The Current and Reference chapter briefly describes the current and reference condition of the watershed. The Synthesis and Recommendations chapter describes the interrelationship of the various resources in the watershed and suggests management of the watershed; the Recommendations section will be reviewed and possibly refined during the landscape design. The Appendix contains supporting documents.

Announces decision concluding that project conforms to the applicable land use plan and that the NEPA documentation fully covers the proposed action. Project proposes to thin commercially approximately 315 acres within the North Lake Creek planning area, implementing silvicultural prescriptions, logging systems, Riparian Reserve treatments, road decommissioning prescriptions, and wildlife and botany mitigation measures, as described in the accompanying Project Implementation Prescription.

Brush and Childers Creek aquatic habitat restoration finding of no significant impact and decision record

Announces decision to implement project restoring the spatial and temporal connectivity of the aquatic system by improving fish passage at an existing road-stream crossing, enhancing aquatic and riparian habitat for resident and anadromous fish species, treating and limiting the spread of noxious plant species, and reducing road and off-road related sediment delivery to streams. Includes conducting aquatic habitat restoration fish passage improvement, road surface improvement unauthorized OHV trail closure, and noxious weed treatment within the Brush and Childers Creek drainages.

Camp Run timber sale finding of no significant impact and decision record

Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed Camp Run Project (EA-OR090-07-06) was prepared by the Upper Willamette Resource Area, Eugene District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). This timber sale was analyzed as part of that project, and would occur on approximately 402 acres. Actions may include thinning in upland and Riparian Reserves, creation of snags and coarse wood debris, stream channel enhancements, road improvements, culvert replacements, temporary road construction and road decommissioning.

ERFO roads finding of no significant impact and decision record

Includes repairing the site of the fill failure on road 16-3E-34, restoring the road surface, realigning the road approximately eight feet, installing needed crossdrains and culverts, removing approximately 12 trees, and revegetating the site with native seed. Also includes decommissioning road 23-2-3 to mitigate adverse impacts, removing most culverts and crossdrains, creating drain dips where needed, and revegetating these with native seed.

An Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impacts (FONSI) for the proposed McKenzie Tribs Projects (EA-OR090-08-01) were prepared by the Upper Willamette Resource Area, Eugene District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). This timber sale was analyzed as part of that project, and would occur on approximately 250 acres. Land allocations include Matrix (including Adaptive Management Areas) Riparian Reserves, and Bald Eagle Habitat Areas (BEHAs) are also included. Actions may include thinning in upland and Riparian Reserves, creation of snags and coarse wood debris, road improvements, culvert replacements, temporary road construction and road decommissioning.

Shotgun OHV trail system modifications environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact

EA proposes to initiate a recreation management project to improve the Shotgun OHV trail system by (1) relocating, redesigning, or decommissioning portions of trails that are difficult to maintain or are causing excessive erosion, (2) constructing and reconstructing trails to provide more miles of trails and better linkages between trails and the staging areas, (3) developing a new staging area, and (4) establishing maintenance and monitoring standards. Includes reconstruction, construction, and decommissioning of roads, and construction of new staging area with gravel surfacing, a vault toilet, sign support structures, garbage/recycle cans, barriers as needed, tables, and a loading ramp.

Teeter Creek aquatic and riparian habitat restoration environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact

Proposes to restore and enhance the spatial and temporal connectivity and the physical integrity of the aquatic ecosystem by eliminating human-caused barriers and enhancing habitat complexity within the Teeter Creek Drainage. The Weyerhaeuser Corporation and the Upper Willamette Resource Area, Eugene District would conduct aquatic and riparian habitat restoration and road decommissioning, including closure of four miles of road, removal of approximately 22 road-stream crossings and relief culverts, restoration of 17 stream channels, placement of large wood and boulder structures in the creek, re-establishment of native riparian vegetation, and the creation of 8 small ponds.
