Officials from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Lane Council of Governments (LCOG), and the City of Creswell recognized the necessity for a more detailed study of the interchange during the course of the TSP. In addition, there is a large amount of vacant commercial land east of the interchange that eventually will be developed. The current interchange design no longer meets federal or state design requirements.
