Item Open Access Progress Report: 2017-2018 / 2018-2019(University of Oregon Libraries, 2019-10) Stone, JasonTHE UO LIBRARIES is a vital component of University of Oregon’s mission to educate its students and prepare them for future success. I am pleased to present this Progress Report providing an overview of the library’s many contributions to this effort during the 2017–18 and 2018–19 academic years. The information distilled in the following pages represents the collective effort of over 150 librarians, managers, and staff members who bring tremendous energy and passion to their work on a daily basis. Having stepped into the role of Interim Dean of Libraries this July, it is my privilege to highlight their exceptional work and to build on the momentum and legacy of my predecessor, Adriene Lim. The Progress Report is organized into sections that reflect the high-level goals in the UO Libraries’ Strategic Plan. These goals, like the North Star, provide a precise means of navigating through times when change seems to be the only constant. Resources may ebb and flow, the political climate may vary, and people may come and go, but the UO Libraries remains committed to making a positive impact on the research and teaching enterprise and on student success through our ongoing work. In reviewing this Progress Report, I hope you will agree that it reflects how the UO Libraries continues to play an extremely vital role at the University of Oregon.Item Open Access LibQUAL+ 2018 Survey -- University of Oregon(2018) Association of Research Libraries; Texas A&M UniversityThis notebook contains information from the 2018 administration of the LibQUAL+ protocol and provides background information in addition to suggestions for interpreting the data.Item Open Access GRAD Connect(University of Oregon Libraries, 2014) Slight-Gibney, Nancy; Ames, WendyThe University of Oregon Libraries Assessment Team partnered with a market research consultant to conduct focus group with graduate students to elicit information on their library experience and the support they receive from the libraries in their roles as students, researchers and teachers. We conducted non-traditional sessions that included story-telling, graphic facilitation, and brainstorming. Seventeen library faculty and staff engaged with sixty-four graduate students in 2.5 hour sessions. Through extensive, guided de-briefing we identified challenges and frustrations; positive affirmations of what is working well; and aspirations and “wish-fors”. Subsequent all-staff meetings focused on the aspirations: what the graduate students wanted if resources were not an issue. Some changes have already been implemented and the focus group results continue to inform library decision-making.Item Open Access LibQUAL+ 2014 Survey -- University of Oregon Libraries(2014) Association of Research Libraries; Texas A & M University; Cook, Colleen; Heath, Fred M., 1944-; Kyrillidou, Martha; Thompson, Bruce; Roebuck, GaryThis notebook contains information from the 2010 administration of the LibQUAL+® protocol.
